What is the Miss Alabama & Miss America Opportunity?
This unique opportunity is a year-round program of Style, Service, Scholarship and Success – representing the four points of the Miss America crown. Participants acquire life long skills while earning scholarships, meet other like-minded women, cultivate their own personal style, and engage within their communities. Our History of Sisterhood
In 2006, Miss Birmingham became a preliminary competition to the Miss Alabama and Miss America competitions. In 2009, Miss Birmingham's Teen was added as a preliminary competition to Miss Alabama's Teen. In 2010, the Miss Heart of Dixie title was added, which changed to Miss Cahaba Valley in 2013. At that same time, we added Miss Cahaba Valley's Teen. In 2022, the Miss Hidden River & Miss Hidden River's Teen titles were added, and we officially became The Miss Birmingham, Miss Cahaba Valley & Miss Hidden River Scholarship Organization.
We are proud to crown six young women each year who prepare together to represent the Birmingham and Cahaba Valley areas in the Miss Alabama & Miss Alabama's Teen competitions and serve as role models for young women all over the state.
