ELIGIBILITY, DEADLINES & MAO REGISTRATION
Eligibility Requirements
To become a local Contestant starting in July 2025, competing in the 2026 Miss Alabama state competition, you must meet the age criteria as shown below.
- Miss - ages 18-28 – must be 18 by the first day of the state competition, and no older than 27 at the state competition
- Teen - ages 14-18 – must be 14 by the first day of the state competition and no older than 18 at the state competition.
- Rising Stars age eligibility is 6-12
MAO Registration & SpotFund
All Miss & Teen Contestants must register with Miss America here ($49.99 annual fee):

All Miss & Teen Contestants must set up a SpotFund Page and raise $30 per local preliminary. The $30 is considered a donation to the American Heart Association and must be in your SpotFund account prior to the competition.

Entry Forms & Competition Information
We crown 4 titles - Birmingham, Cahaba Valley, Hidden River & Covered Bridge - in a single competition (Teen @2PM, Miss @6 PM)!
- Only one completed packet is needed to qualify for all four titles in your category (Teen or Miss).
- Use the button below to access the State contract for Miss & Teen, and entry forms for Miss, Teen & Rising Stars.
Local Contestant Orientation
Mandatory Contestant Orientation Sunday, October 26, 2025:
- Teen @ 2 PM CST
- Miss @ 3 PM CST
Note: A meeting link will be sent to all contestants the morning of October 26th via email
